Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. She then worked as a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. Her work in Charleston led her to serve as a co-anchor, reporter and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a anchor on the weekdays and was also the weekend anchor for NBC. O'Dell, as well as anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
